If you’re like us, we don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the kitchen inside our house — as long as everything works inside. Although we can cook perfectly fine indoors, where we really shine is in our newly installed outdoor kitchen. There is something about the outdoor air getting to food that makes it taste so much more delicious. If you’re looking into installing your very own outdoor kitchen, here are some of the pieces that in our opinion should definitely be included.
The Best Outdoor Kitchens Start With A Built In Grill
When we interviewed Jonathan a keen Jas Boutique cook and member of staff his opinion took presidence. Here is what he had to say "The best outdoor kitchens are highly functional, but also look great. When I was researching outdoor kitchens, I decided to go with a built-in grill that had a total of almost 1000 square inches of cooking space. I also chose one that had five separate burners so that I could have multiple pots going — my favourite so far has been my famous baked beans and my wife’s amazing chocolate sauce that we poured over home made vanilla ice cream. I love rotisserie chicken from the grocery store so I also included a rotisserie so that I could roast an entire chicken on the grill. I have to admit, my version is even better than a store bought roasted chicken!"
How To Know What Extras You Want?
Again Jonathan says "Outdoor kitchens aren’t just about the grill (though in my opinion, that’s the only piece that matters!). My wife insisted that if we were going to have an outdoor kitchen, we had to do it right. We decided to include a built-in fire pit with some high quality lawn furniture around it and even a built-in kegerator so that we could always enjoy a cold, frosty beverage straight from the tap. We’ve spent many, many nights sitting around our fire pit after cooking an entire dinner in our outdoor kitchen and I anticipate many more."
Outdoor kitchens with built-in grills can make the summer months incredibly enjoyable — there’s nothing like preparing a meal outside and then eating as a family together around our fire pit. If you’ve been researching outdoor kitchens, narrow down what you’d like and then get it installed as quickly as possible so you can maximize the beautiful summer months.
