Emily Wireless Speaker designed by Ora Ito
Ito Morabito (his brand name is Ora Ito) has design in his blood. His father, Pascale Morabito, is a well-known designer and retailer of luxury goods in Paris and his uncle, Yves Bayard, was one of the architects of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice. Ito’s own career, however, had a shaky start when he was kicked out of design school after just a year. Work for an architect and then for show designer Roger Vivier followed and then, at the tender age of 21, he decided to start creating fake products for real brands. He designed ‘ads’ for a Louis Vuitton bag and a camouflage-patterned carrying case for a Mac laptop and then launched them on the internet as if they really existed. It wasn’t long before the brands discovered his abuse of their name – and loved the idea. His collection of imaginary items was viewed around the world and fiction became reality when people tried to order the virtual products from his website. And now today, Ito spends his days in his Paris studio creating real products for real clients, including his award-winning aluminium bottle for Heineken, his ‘Ogo’ oxygen-enriched water bottle for Adidas, Joop perfume bottles, ad campaigns for Levi’s, websites for Cappellini and Magis, a lamp for Artemide and furniture for Cappellini.GiottoA deliberately architectural silhouette characterizes the Giotto headphones. At its own scale, it ehoes the creations of the Ora ito studio. The collection's signature piece is the Giotto, mixed of machined metal parts clad with fabric. This tactile encounter denotes the influences of furniture design. A little plus: a dual-capacity jack plug allows friends to share musci though two headphones.Emily Wireless SpeakerConceived in the same materials used in interior architecture, this nomad Bluetooth speaker immediately blends into any spaces. Its formal codes recall those of the Giotto headphones. Equally at ease inside or outside, it features a handle that serves both as a support and a means of transporting it.Carol USB CableThe Carol double USB cables makes it possible to charge two mobile devices simultaneously. Works with the Micha mains power charger and Teo car charger.Louise Folio Case for SmarthphonesThe motifs used for the covers (organic, padded) are inspired by Ora ito architecture, furniture, hotel room wall coverings... its variety of materials endows the collections with a trans-generational aspect. The particular care given to its finishings class these high-tech products amid the best pieces of contemporary design.
