Scott, born in 1942 the son of an artisan furniture manufacturer, offered his apprenticeship as a cabinet-maker in High Wycombe before acquiring a scholarship to London's Royal University of Art in 1963. Extensively considereded as the most talented British furniture professional of his generation, his reputation was firmly set up with the launch of his timeless Supporto collection for Hille in 1979. Later on in his career he worked carefully with Drawback Mylius to create hm25 and other upholstery styles.HM25HM25 is a thorough seating variety designed by Fred Scott which comprises an armchair, 2- and three-seat couches, benches and reduced tables, all with underframes of fine-brushed stainless steel. Internal structures are of FSC-accredited beech and panel construction with flexible webbed seats; furniture is of rated cmhr foams. HM25 couch's seat and back pillows are Dacron-wrapped cmhr foam. Textile or natural leather upholstery with top-stitched detailing. Specification table tops are of unbreakable acid-etched glass; optional leadings of maple veneer or black slate may be specified at extra expense.Hm26 couchesHm26 sofas are generously proportioned with further and bigger seat dimensions urging a relieved seating placement, a slightly more casual version of Scott's classic collection. The Hm26 variety comprises an armchair, two-, 3- and four-seater couches, and can be upholstered in a wide variety of natural leathers and textiles. Internal structures are of solid beech and panel building with elastic webbed seats, upholstered in graded CMHR foams. The seat and back pillows are Dacron-wrapped foam.
