Inspirational Italian Industrial Designs Of Enrico Azzimonti
A name that instantly comes to your mind whenever you think of industrial and architectural designs is Enrico Azzimonti. There is no doubt that he is one of the most celebrated and highly ranked Italian architectural designers that Italy has ever produced. He was born in 1966 and earned his degree in Architecture from the Polytechnics of Milan in 1993. He was very much into designing and creative thinking during his college days. As soon as he left the college after attaining his degree he started his own design studio in 1994 that dealt with industrial designing and architectural planning. His design studio focused on the various facets of architectural designing. He further went on to improve his research and study on architectural designing with a Master’s degree in design management from he same Polytechnics of Milan University in 1995.
Enrico Azzimonti has been working closely with Jordi Pigem, the Catalan designer, since 1998. His works have been recognized in many of the exhibitions and also have been appreciated as one of the best efforts in a lot of competitions. Some of the popular exhibitions and competitions that Enrico has participated are: folding chair competition, Valencia Nude Show, The New Italian design at the Milan Triennale, Young and Design, International Biennial Saint-Etienne, Ceramic Tiles of Italy Milan-Bologna and Salone Satellite in Milan. He has always been able to capture the attention of the Italian press as well as the foreign press whenever he made his presence felt in exhibitions or trade fairs or competitions. He has also been chosen three times for the International design Yearbook and once for the Adi Design Index in 2007.
Enrico’s popular works have also found a permanent place in the Museu de les Arts Decoratives in Barcelona. He has done a lot of research in architectural design and has also shared his vast knowledge to the young and budding designers through his regular workshops that he holds in Italian Universities. Some of the universities where Enrico has held architectural design workshops are: La Sapienza University of Rome, IUAV of San Marino, the Istituto Marangoni in Milan and IUAV of Venice. He is also doing a regular teaching job at the European Institute of Design in Milan where he takes care of the design experiments of the architecture students. He has been teaching since 2006. Enrico Azzimonti has also been working for popular companies like: TVS, Coleman, Greencross, Campingaz and Tecnoargilla.
